| Medallion Hunt Begins Monday July 21, 2008 Participants are required to purchase a Festival Button to compete. Disclaimer: DUE TO THE CONFIDENTIAL NATURE OF MEDALLION INFORMATION, THE TIMING OF CLUES IS NOT A PERFECT SCIENCE, NOR ARE THE CLUES POSTED AT AN EXACT TIME ON THIS SITE. CLUES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE BY 11 A.M. EACH DAY AT THE ELDORADO TIMES OFFICE (MUST PURCHASE A PAPER) AND ON KFDI RADIO AT 12:30PM. THIS WEBSITE WILL BE UPDATED AS INFORMATION IS RECEIVED. One of the largest giveaways at the entire festival is the festival medallion hunt which offers the finder of the Medallion a $250 cash prize. A Golden Prairie Port Festival Medallion is hidden on public land in El Dorado, Kansas. Clues are announced in local press and radio broadcasts. Clues will also be published on this website around 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. NOTE: Be sure to "refresh" your page to see current clues on the website! | NOTICE: The medalion is hidden on public property and is not in someone's personal yard or inside a place of business. Also, no tools are needed to find the medallion (shovels, ladders, etc.). FINALLY, THE MEDALLION WILL NOT BE LOCATED IN A CEMETERY. Rules: - Prizes cannot be claimed without the purchase of a Prairie Port Festival Button.
- The medallion will be hidden on public property, within the city limits of El Dorado and in plain sight.
- Damage to public property will result in disqualification.
- When the medallion is found it needs to be taken to the El Dorado Times office.
- Actual size of the medallion is two and one-half inches in diameter.
